Palmetto Bay Snorkel Trip: the Wreck, the Starfish Bank and the Spooky Channel
Four hours on the water and three of the best snorkeling stops on this side of the island, each a different kind of dive: a sunken ship slowly turning into reef, a shallow sandy bank where starfish gather, and the Spooky Channel — a deep cut through the reef where the light drops and the big fish hang in the blue.
The boat leaves West Bay from 8 in the morning with an open bar of local drinks, bottled water, sodas and snacks on board. The shared trip runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays; a private boat can go any day of the week.
